'Tis the Season

So, this year, instead of a white elephant party where we waste money on silly gifts we'll never use again, our group of friends decided to sponsor a family in need, and buy for them so they could have as good of a Christmas as the rest of us. Well, when I heard of a local family who lost their house to a fire the day before Thanksgiving, I thought who better than to sponsor? I know this family personally, and was thrilled to help in any way I could. The family consists of a mom, a dad, a 9 year-old little girl, and a 2 year-old little boy. It worked out perfectly, since there are 8 couples that get together. Each family member had 2 couples buying clothes, toys, gift cards, bath products, anything they wanted to donate to them. We all got together at our house this past Tuesday for "Cocktails & Wrapping. We always have a great time when our group of friends get together, but it was exceptionally special coming together for such a great cause, and seeing how much fun everyone had shopping for the family. Even Addison, Ashlyn, and Tinley had fun wrapping all the gifts! We're delivering all the gifts to the family this evening. I can not wait to see the look on all of their faces, especially the children. A HUGE thank you goes out to all of our friends, you guys are the best, and we love you all! Anyway, here are a few pictures from Tuesday night. I'll let you know how our delivery goes tonight. xoxo
